Our mission
In May of 2021, Emma - our little drummer girl - was diagnosed with a rare form of brain and spinal cancer. For two years this amazing warrior fought with tenacity and love to give so many of us memories, lessons and time that we will be forever grateful for.
On 13 November 2022, barely 2 weeks after completing radiation treatment, Emma completed the Canberra Walk4BrainCancer walk (with a little help from some friends).
On the 23rd of May 2023, Emma passed away.
So this year, we are doing it for her, and to continue raising money for world-class brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness.
Many people don't know brain cancer kills more children than any other disease in Australia. It also kills more people under 40 in Australia than any other cancer. Yet very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how to treat it.
So please donate and help us reach our goal of $5000. Any money you can give no matter how large or small will be sincerely appreciated, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
